Zanilia Zhao tops list of most influential celebrities in China
BEIJING: CelebrityZ’s Top 100 Most Influential Celebrities in China has placed actress Zanilia Zhao at number one.
Zanilia, also known as Zhao Liying, is the top-ranked celebrity based on the strength of the television dramas she stars in.
Her television dramas attract billions of views, and millions more overseas.
Currently, she is on hiatus following the birth of her child with William Feng Shaofeng.
On many streaming sites, the online views of her dramas are slowing down, but numbers remain robust. Production companies are all looking forward to her return to spearhead more record-breaking dramas.
Zanilia has been a huge hit after starring in the historical action drama Princess Agents.

Last year, she had starred in the fantasy adventure film The Monkey King 3, playing the role of the ruler of an all-female kingdom. She was then back on TV with the historical drama The Story of Minglan, produced by Daylight Entertainment. That too sizzled up the ratings.

Yang Mi (4) Yang Mi, 32, is widely-regarded as China’s number one sister of television. although dogged by the controversial divorce from actor Hawick Lau, her popularity has not waned. Yang Mi is a major trend influencer in China, especially with her endorsement of luxury accessories. Hu Ge (5) There has never been a weak link in Hu Ge’s steady acting career. Although it’s been two years since Hu Ge last appeared in a drama or film, he remains a firm favourite in China. Zhou Dongyu (6) Zhou, 27, is one of the most outstanding actresses in China, thanks to her usual role as a quirky, clueless and innocentlooking girlfriend.
Her breakthrough came in the movie Soul Mate, for which she won the Best Actress award at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards. She had also starred in the spy war drama Sparrow, which drew 11 billion online
views.
