Education roadshow to be held in Sarawak’s major towns

SIBU: An education roadshow ‘ Scholar Search Sarawak 2019’ will be held in major towns in Sarawak for school- leavers on April 12 at Miri Boulevard Shopping Complex from 10am to 8pm.

This will be followed by one at Sibu Star Mega Mall (April 13) from 10am to 8pm and tHe Spring in Bintulu (April 14) from 10am to 10pm.

Meanwhile, the Kuching leg will be at Kuching Vivacity Mall (April 20-21) from 10am to 10pm.

All Unified Examination Certificate ( UEC), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia ( STPM) school-leavers and their parents are especially invited

to attend the roadshow jointly organised by Kuching Hockien Association, JCI Sarawak and Uni Enrol.

JCI Sarawak area chairperson Ellen Lu in a press conference here yesterday said the main objective of the roadshow was to provide relevant information to those who intend to further their studies.

“Among others, they will be informed on the options available such as suitable institutions, courses and scholarship offers,” Lu pointed out.

UNI Enrol chief executive officer Rickson Khaw in the same press conference said students may use their examination results to help them decide which offers suit them most.

“Uni Enrol represents more than 60 local and foreign universities such as INTI, Taylor’s, KDU Penang, Sunway College Kuching and Swinburne,” he said.
