Property owners invited to participate in MCC-organised landscape competition

MIRI: Property owners in Miri and Bario are invited to participate in the beautiful landscape competition organised by Miri City Council ( MCC) aimed at inculcating go- green concept and culture by keeping their home, office and premises beautiful, clean and tidy.

For the first time, MCC created three categories especially for the people in Bario; namely Homestay, Kampung House (storey/detached) and Longhouse.

The categories for Miri are Traditional/ Kampung House, Storey/ Bungalow, Terraced House, Detached/Corner Lot, Primary School, Secondary School, University/College/ Education and Training Institution, Government Agencies Building, Private Companies Building/GLC, Hotel/ Resort and House of Worship.

The judging will be on softscape and hardscape collection, maintenance, area cleanliness and creativity.

Prizes amounting to RM49,200 with trophy and certificate await winners.

The entry form is available at the Landscape Section, UTC Building. The closing date for entry is July 31.

Entry forms must be returned to the coordinator of the Beautiful Landscape Competition, Landscape Section, MCC, Level 2A, Parking Building, Miri.

Entries will be evaluated by the appointed panel of judges and decisions are final and any objections will not be entertained.
