IT Fair 2019 at Sing Kwong Shopping Mall, May 3-5

SIBU: Sarawak ICT Associatio­n ( SICTA) Sibu branch will hold its IT Fair 2019 at Sing Kwong Shopping Mall in Salim Road here from May 3 till 5, from 10am to 9pm daily.

According to SICTA Sibu branch chairman Wong Ing Ang, each customer is entitled to purchase 32GB pen- drive at special price of RM13 per unit ( limited to 50 units per day).

“Our IT Fair 2019 is a mini one as we are still looking for a bigger space to host a bigger one,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

Ing Ang revealed that of the 12 booths, nine had been snapped up, while urging those keen to contact organising chairmen - Siek Hieng Hoe ( 014 8998 888) and Eason Wong ( 013 8092 920).

Additional­ly, in conjunctio­n with the IT Fair 2019, an E-Waste Recycling Campaign 2019 will be held in front of Sing Kwong Shopping Mall.

“The public who have unwanted or spoilt computers, computer peripheral­s, printers and other accessorie­s are advised to bring them to the venue for proper disposal during the expo period,” he said.

He said the E-Waste Recycling Campaign is carried out with Sibu Municipal Council ( SMC) for a cleaner and healthier environmen­t to live in.

He said those missing out on such campaign during the Love Earth Day Campaign 2019 could bring their unwanted or spoilt computers and other accessorie­s to Sing Kwong Shopping Mall during the IT Fair.

Meanwhile, Ing Ang said the SICTA Sibu branch office-bearers for 2019-2020 are Wong See Teck (vice- chairman), Anthony Law ( secretary), Jackson Ngui (treasurer) while committees are Eason Wong, May Lau, Siek Hieng Hoe, Kiing Sie Sung, Lau Hieng Luk and William Lau Ong Lee.
