MIRI: Sarawak B were denied a point when they lost 3-2 to Felda United FC in the President Cup Group B match in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

Head coach Abdul Jalil Ramli however is proud of his men’s performance. According to him, Sarawak B made a superb comeback during the game against Felda United despite trailing 2- 0 in the first half.

“The players produced a topofthe- table performance in the second half, levelling the score at 2-2, but luck is still not on our side,” he said when met after the match.

Jalil admitted that they gave too much space in the first half which allows Felda United to net two goals within nine minutes.

“We changed our strategy and tactical in the second half and managed to produce two goals through Wan Badzreen Wan Yusuf,” he said.

Jalil added that Felda United’s third goal from a free kick was quite a disappointment.

Felda United’s Ainol Iskandar Mahsun scored in the 21st minute and Muhd Alif Asyraaf doubled the score in the 30th minute.

Despite 2- 0 down, Sarawak B stepped up their game and made a quick charge towards the homesters’ box soon after the interval.

Wan Badzreen inspired the team when he scored the first goal in the 52nd minute and the equaliser seven minutes later.

However, as when the match seemed to end with a draw, Felda United FC managed to slot in the winning goal through Mohamad Shah Amirul’s free kick in the 64th minute.

Although Sarawak tried aggressively for an equaliser to salvage a point, the score remained at 3-2 until the final whistle.
