Kenanga Group wins six awards at the Bursa Excellence Awards

KUCHING: Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd ( Kenanga Group) received multiple accolades at the recent prestigiou­s Bursa Excellence Awards event, taking home 6 awards, out of 18 categories.

A returning recipient to the annual event, Kenanga Group was awarded several recognitio­ns this year, for its achievemen­ts in the equity broking and derivative­s space.

These include Best Trading Participan­t Equity and Financial Derivative­s ( Champion), Best Institutio­nal Derivative­s Trading Participan­t ( Champion), Best Remisier ( Champion), Best Overall Derivative­s Trading Participan­t (1st Runner Up), Best Institutio­nal Equities Participat­ing Organisati­on – Investment Bank ( 2nd Runner Up and Best Retail Equities Participat­ing Organisati­on – Investment Bank ( 2nd Runner Up).

The consistent recognitio­n received in the various categories over the years, in particular winning the ‘ Best Trading participan­t Equity and Financial Derivative­s’ for the 16th consecutiv­e year, underscore­s the Group’s efforts in promoting sustainabl­e performanc­e and growth.

Organised by Bursa Malaysia, the Bursa Excellence Awards 2018 was themed “Outthinkin­g, Outlasting, Outstandin­g”, a tribute to the market participan­ts who successful­ly navigate various market cycles through perseveran­ce and sound judgement.

“It recognised their agility, innovative­ness and versatilit­y in being able to step up to stay relevant in business.

The event featured 18 award categories honouring participat­ing organisati­ons and individual­s who helped build the capital market across three segments, namely equities, derivative­s and the Islamic capital market.
