‘All NRDA projects will be carried out successful­ly’

LIMBANG: Assistant Minister of Agricultur­e Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail is optimistic that all 99 developmen­t projects under the Northern Region Developmen­t Authority (NRDA) will be implemente­d successful­ly within these two years.

He said the setting up of NRDA Value Management Laboratory at Penview Convention Centre (PCC) Demak Laut in Kuching was to ensure that all 99 high-impact projects will be implemente­d within the stipulated period.

“The NRDA Value Management Laboratory set up recently by the Sarawak government was part of the efforts to ensure that the projects are implemente­d and completed within the stipulated time (2019 and 2020),” he said when speaking at the roadshow of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) PBB Bukit Kota branch Limpaong Surau Zone at Kampong Buangsiol Hall yesterday.

Dr Abdul Rahman who is also Bukit Kota assemblyma­n said the Sarawak government has approved RM1.5 billion under NRDA for the 99 projects such as road constructi­on, water supply and electricit­y, agricultur­e, livestock and tourism in Limbang and Lawas.

Touching on the roadshow, he said it will be expanded to introduce GPS symbol and logo to PBB members, voters and the general public in the district so that they will be well informed before the next state election.

Also present were Limbang District Council Walikota and Bukit Kota PBB Youth chief, Sufian Mohat, PBB Bukit Kota Women chief, Norni Marlini Abdullah, headmen Juparali Mat Kaseh (Kampung Buangsiol), Zahedi Asol (Kampung Limpaong), and Matasan Amit (Kampung Bukit Kota).
