It is being held at the foyer ( level 2) of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (Pustaka) Miri, which opens daily from 9am to 5pm.

The paintings use different media – batik, acrylic, water colour, oil painting, bitumen, airbrush and tree bark.

“We thank Pustaka Miri for allowing us to exhibit these artworks not just for two days on April 6 – 7 in conjunction with the launch of our association, but until April 18.

Such collaboration is greatly appreciated as such exposure could help meet our goals to help promote Miri, its rich cultural heritage and beautiful sceneries, besides creating greater appreciation among the local and international communities,” said Noel when met recently.

The association also hopes to inspire more artists and budding artists, especially among students, to nurture their interest in arts both as a hobby and as a profession.

Noel said he was pleased with the public support during the launch of the association by Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin on April 6, which was also attended by, among others, regional manager of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak Miri, Salina Zawawi.

He encouraged the public to continue supporting them including buying their artworks, adding that part of the proceeds would go to charity and also to raise funds for them to carry out their activities

Noel said each art work has the name of the artists and description of their works/collections, and those interested to know more can contact the individual artist or he himself at + 6012- 8711902 or email to ppsvm@ gmail.com or contact Alyssa (secretary) at + 60 19- 829 7427.

Meanwhile, those interested in becoming members are urged to sign up soonest with the association, a non-profit making association, registered on October 9, 2018.
