RHB offers new RHB Mobile Banking App, enhances digital offerings

KUCHING: RHB Bank Bhd ( RHB) has launched the new RHB Mobile Banking App with the primary aim of reimaginin­g day-to- day banking journey of its customers.

The new RHB Mobile Banking Appwillpro­videhighly­convenient and pleasant experience­s, help convert more customers to become “digitally active” and make RHB their primary bank.

The new RHB Mobile Banking App offers robust features that allow customers to do their banking transactio­ns at their convenienc­e.

Key features include quick access to all customers’ account informatio­n with a Quick Login feature using PIN or biometrics; which gives customers an easy way to get a complete overview of their account informatio­n allowing them to manage their finances anywhere anytime.

There is also a “One-touch payment” feature that allows payments to be made effortless­ly for up to eight specified recipients; with no full login needed for payments up to RM500.

Another feature includes the enhanced integratio­n capabiliti­es using transactio­n signing eliminates the need for SMS One Time Password (OTP) to authorise transactio­ns, without compromisi­ng account security.

Customers can also enjoy a user friendly dashboard for a quick view of account balances, recent transactio­ns and account history, payment due dates, and other relevant informatio­n.

Other features include auto alerts and notificati­ons on upcoming payments and due dates for credit cards, where payments can be made with just a click of a button and links to key banking and lifestyle offers of RHB.

“The new RHB Mobile banking app was designed and developed with the needs of our customers in mind.

“Its unique features and user friendly functional­ities as well as the clean and intuitive interface makes it simple and easy for customers to use, regardless of customers profile or age group,” RHB Banking Group’s group managing director Datuk Khairussal­eh Ramli said.

“The app also enables customers to directly access products and services being offered by the Group. Through this App we are reimaginin­g banking experience by bringing simplicity, convenienc­e and personalis­ed service into the lives of our customers, without the need to go to our branches for their day to day banking needs.”

Today, RHB has approximat­ely 1.8 million active RHB Now internet banking users, out of which more than 500,000 are active mobile banking users.

“In the last three years, our mobile banking penetratio­n has grown by 250 per cent. With the launch of our new RHB Mobile Banking App, we are targeting to increase our active mobile banking users to one million by the end of 2019.”

This new mobile banking app is set to increase transactio­n volume via digital channels from 66 per cent currently to more than 80 per cent by 2022. The new app is set to deliver greater accessibil­ity and personalis­ed banking services to approximat­ely four million RHB customers.

The new RHB Mobile Banking App will co- exist with the current RHB Now app and internet banking platform over the next 12 months, before it is gradually integrated to a single platform. The new RHB Mobile Banking App is now available for customers to download from App Store and Google Play.
