BPHB passes 6 resolution­s at 23rd AGM

The 23rd annual general meeting ( AGM) of Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd ( BPHB) on Monday saw six agenda tabled for shareholde­rs’ approval. BPHB chief executive officer Datuk Mohammad Medan Abdullah said all six agenda were adopted as resolution­s by the shareholde­rs. He said among them were on the accounts and directors’ fees and benefits, and the re- election of directors by rotation pursuant to the company’s associatio­n, Koperkasa declares 10 pct dividend for 2018

Koperasi Koperkasa Sarawak Bhd ( Koperkasa) declared a dividend payout of 10 per cent of its profits for the year 2018 to all members of its cooperativ­e.

This was approved during its 66th Annual General Meeting held towards the end of March this year. Sarawak- China trade at RM18.91 bln last year

Trade between Sarawak and China rose by16.8 per cent to RM18.91 billion last year, with exports from the state recording RM12.07 billion, and imports at RM6.8 billion. Sarawak’s major exports to China were Liquefied Natural Gas ( LNG), vegetable oils, electrical machinery, and apparatus. The imports were chemical products, coke, lignite, carbon, aluminium ore, base metals, and other commoditie­s. Sabah to launch Agricultur­e Blueprint next month

The Sabah state government is expected to launch the Sabah Agricultur­e Blueprint in May. State Agricultur­e Department director Datuk Idrus Shafie said the blueprint was needed to develop Sabah’s agricultur­e sector in a comprehens­ive manner. Jesselton Birost ( Sabah) Sdn Bhd plans to collaborat­e with a China-based company to build and operate a US$ 4 billion ( RM16.5 billion) bonded integrated refinery and oil storage terminal in Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park, Sipitang.

Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd’s ( Serba Dinamik) plan to raise a sukuk issuance worth RM826 million to RM1 billion ( US$ 200 million to US$ 250million) for a tenure of three years to refinance its existing foreign loans and internatio­nal projects has garnered neutral views from AmInvestme­nt Bank Bhd (AmInvestme­nt Bank).
