MALAYSIA is in need for highlyskilled human resources to close the present demand-supply gap in various industries, particularly those driving economic transformation.
The government has determined that the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector as the main route in providing highly-skilled human resources and also one of the key drivers of the economy for Malaysia to become a high-income nation.
Aware on this, MSU College also offers Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through its School of Science & Technology (SST) for SPM leavers who have a keen interest to study in this area.
This programme generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.
Students will learn in depth about the concepts and applications of power generation, transmission and distribution of engineering.
With an emphasis on utilisation and control of electrical energy and technology, this course will provide strong foundation on both theory and practical training.
It will enable students to understand the electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals. There are also other subjects that support skills as well as business and communication and information technology.
Students with a minimum of three passes including credits in Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics and Science in the SPM/SPMV are invited to join the programme.
Students who obtained less three passes but wish to join are encourage to pursue the Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering before advancing to the Diploma programmes.
Graduates can further studies in Bachelors Degree at Management & Science University (MSU) through Faculty of Information Sciences & Engineering (FISE) where students are eligible for advance standing in the second year as transfer credit given.
This programme also prepares students for a choice of careers as Technician Engineers in areas such as computer systems development, industrial electronics, communications engineering and electronic design and development.
