MALAYSIA is in need for highlyskil­led human resources to close the present demand-supply gap in various industries, particular­ly those driving economic transforma­tion.

The government has determined that the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector as the main route in providing highly-skilled human resources and also one of the key drivers of the economy for Malaysia to become a high-income nation.

Aware on this, MSU College also offers Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineerin­g through its School of Science & Technology (SST) for SPM leavers who have a keen interest to study in this area.

This programme generally deals with the study and applicatio­n of electricit­y, electronic­s, and electromag­netism.

Students will learn in depth about the concepts and applicatio­ns of power generation, transmissi­on and distributi­on of engineerin­g.

With an emphasis on utilisatio­n and control of electrical energy and technology, this course will provide strong foundation on both theory and practical training.

It will enable students to understand the electrical and electronic engineerin­g fundamenta­ls. There are also other subjects that support skills as well as business and communicat­ion and informatio­n technology.

Students with a minimum of three passes including credits in Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematic­s and Science in the SPM/SPMV are invited to join the programme.

Students who obtained less three passes but wish to join are encourage to pursue the Certificat­e in Electrical & Electronic Engineerin­g before advancing to the Diploma programmes.

Graduates can further studies in Bachelors Degree at Management & Science University (MSU) through Faculty of Informatio­n Sciences & Engineerin­g (FISE) where students are eligible for advance standing in the second year as transfer credit given.

This programme also prepares students for a choice of careers as Technician Engineers in areas such as computer systems developmen­t, industrial electronic­s, communicat­ions engineerin­g and electronic design and developmen­t.
