Be way ahead in education endeavours at First City University College

-

LEARNING is a continuous process, as learning is growth. Never put a stop in gaining knowledge- it is beneficial in so many ways. Graduates with undergraduate degrees might want to take a leap forward in their education endeavours and aim for career advancement by enrolling into postgraduate programmes.

First City University College has been in the front-line of producing thousands of quality graduates across various fields of study, year by year for almost 30 years.

Formerly known as KBU International College, the institution’s credibility in offering holistic tertiary education is made evident by its outstanding track record of producing thousands of highlyemployable graduates and successful entrepreneurs since its inception.

First City University College offers a vast option of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various fields. Graduates who hold interest in the latter may find the Master of Business Administration, Master of Design Management, Master of Software Engineering, and Master of Engineering Management programmes especially enticing.

Offered in both full-time and parttime mode of study, working students have the opportunity to juggle earning a living and pursue their studies, without tempering with their working hours.

Graduates with a vision to expand their business knowledge can seriously consider enrolling in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

The programme is strengthened through First City University College’s practice of over 20 years in establishing education partnership with universities from the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The partnership gives rise to the MBA programme being validated and recognized by Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) from the United Kingdom.

The programme is designed to engage learners with broad business knowledge and aims to equip them with various management skills to take up managerial roles. Students will be exposed to real life business crises and solutions in order to promote critical thinking.

This will be especially useful if they were to face similar crises in the future as part of their career challenges.

Subjects such as Project Management, Organisational Behaviour and Strategic Management in the MBA programme syllabus provides students with substantial knowledge to handle and work around managerial issues in the business world.

MBA students also receive the upper hand of benefiting from the frequent business talks that the Faculty of Business, Hospitality and Communication Studies organises. Wellknown guest speakers with impressive business portfolios are invited to share their experiences on various business, entrepreneurship, economics and management topics with the students.

Ang Chong Wui, a student from the MBA programme finds the lectures highly effective in teaching not only the theoretical, but also the practical aspect of business studies.

“I can see the lecturers putting substantial effort in making our learning experience interesting. They inspire us to become successful entrepreneurs, and I feel motivated each time I attend class”, Ang said.

His fellow student, Derek Wong Chee Yean, finds the accreditation that the MBA programme at First City University College received, as a compelling reason for his enrolment.
