Sarawak to celebrate Civil Service Day Dec 4

KUCHING: The Sarawak Civil Service Day celebratio­n will be held on Dec 4 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching ( BCCK) here from 9am onwards.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to officiate the event which will be attended by state cabinet ministers, Federal State Secretary Mohd Shahabuddi­n Omar, deputy state secretarie­s, heads of state and federal department­s, statutory bodies and government- linked companies.

Awards will be presented during the ceremony namely the State Civil Service Quality ( AKPANS) with 26 recipients and the Civil Service Day Exemplary Officer with eight recipients from both state and federal department­s.

These awards are awarded in recognitio­n of the recipients excellent achievemen­t for the past one year.

More than 5,000 members of the state and federal civil service, statutory bodies and government- linked companies ( GLCs) as well as those from non- government­al organisati­ons ( NGOs) and the private sector have been invited to the annual event.

Themed ‘ Excellent Service Delivery through Integrity and Profession­alism’, this year’s celebratio­n emphasises on the state’s service delivery to the people.

Among the highlights include the citing of an integrity oath by civil servants led by State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, while Abang Johari is also expected to launch the Behaviour Management Manual, SCS- Learning Management System, mySCS mobile app and E-Lasis.

There will also be video presentati­ons and exhibition­s by the Sarawak Leadership Institute on Learning Management System and Sarawak Pay which will showcase the state’s digital strategies.
