KPDNHEP Sibu confiscates diesel, 4WDs from two raids
The local enforcement unit of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) seized 520 litres of diesel and two four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles during two separate operations here Saturday.

KPDNHEP Sibu chief Kelyn Bolhassan @ Haliward said the confiscated items registered an estimated value of RM50,959.20.
Investigation would be conducted under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961 for unlawful possession of controlled articles, he added.
Under the Act, an individual could be fined up to RM1 million or imprisoned for a maximum period of three years, or both, if found guilty; a company could be imposed with a fine of up to RM2

“Fuel station operators must also not sell petrol and diesel to the public exceeding the quantity, as stipulated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961. Should anyone flout the law, stern action would be taken against them,” said Kelyn in a statement yesterday.
