Covid-19: PN determined to work hard with people, frontliner­s to tackle pandemic — Azmin

KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional ( PN) has called on all parties, especially political leaders across all boundaries, to unite with the people in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and revive the country’s economy.

PN informatio­n chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said it was also determined to work hard with the people and the country’s frontliner­s to combat the pandemic.

He said PN held in high regard the decree by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong AlSultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in acknowledg­ing the success of the Federal Government led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in ba ling the pandemic effectivel­y.

“Perikatan Nasional also holds in high regard the King’s confidence in the Federal Government’s wisdom and actions in its efforts to protect the health of the people, care for their welfare and ensure their safety as well as to boost the national economy.

“Muhyiddin’s administra­tion will provide complete leadership and work hand-in-hand with health and economic experts as well security teams to devise short, medium and long-term plans to deal with the pandemic holistical­ly,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Azmin said PN welcomed the spirit of solidarity of component parties like PAS, STAR and SAPP and the Members of Parliament of Umno, MCA, MIC, PBRS, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) for expressing their full support for the leadership of Muhyiddin as well as PN. — Bernama
