Ugak gives out MRP grants to 42 JKKKs

-

KAPIT: Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong recently gave out a total of RM683,300 in Minor Rural Project ( MRP) grants to 42 village security and development committees (JKKKs) from Baleh state constituency.

Baleh is one of the state constituencies under Hulu Rajang parliamentary constituency. The others are Belaga and Murum.

The JKKKs were from Nanga Antawau, Sungai Entuloh, Sungai Merirai, Sungai Gaat, Sungai Kain and longhouses along Baleh river. The JKKKs from Belaga and Murum had received their grants in Belaga. Speaking at the event to hand out the grants at Bukit Mabong District Office, Ugak said the amounts differed based on the requests submitted by each JKKK.

“The grant is government fund. So please inform your longhouse folks that the MRP grant had already been received. Bank the amount into the JKKK account and spend it wisely according to the purposes that you submitted. Also submit a copy of the report on how the allocation was spent to the District Office for record purpose,” Ugak reminded.

At the same time, he urged the people of Baleh to choose wisely during the coming state election and vote for GPS-PRS candidate Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Masing, who had been serving them well.

Ugak also cautioned them not to easily fall prey to the sweet talks of the opposition who would move around just before the election.
