Deadline looms for Miri City Mayor’s Award 2020

MIRI: The deadline to submit nomination forms for the Miri City Mayor’s Award 2020 is 5pm next Monday (Nov 2).

Mirians can nominate deserving persons and/or organisations that have made extraordinary efforts to support the mission, vision, and values of Miri City for the award.

This year there are 11 categories – Mayor’s special awards; environment; tourism promotion; safety and security; education; corporate sector, organisations, associations, and NGOS; hotels and hospitality industry: media, press, and social media; youth culture, arts, and sports promotions; public health and medical; and any other significant and worthy contributions.

Nomination can be either through self-nomination, third party nomination, or by-invitation.

Nomination forms can be obtained from http://www.miricouncil.gov.my, Miri City Council’s (MCC) public relations section counter (main building), or from UTC’s Information Counter.

Nominees must be Malaysians residing in Miri who have made significant contributions towards development here without an adverse record with MCC.

Business and association nominees must have valid registration or trade licences.

Awards will be presented on Dec 13 at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club.

All nomination forms must be emailed to mbm@ miricouncil.gov.my or jeniferlb@miricouncil.gov. my, or delivered to Jenifer Leku Balang or Shamberi Eli at MCC’s office at Jalan Raja.
