Ali Abdul Rahman now heads Perkis Miri

MIRI: Ali Abdul Rahman is now the Miri branch chairman of Islamic Welfare Association (Perkis) Sarawak for the 2020-2022 term.

He is to be by assisted deputy chairman Ibrahim Yunus, secretary Mohdzar Aman, deputy secretary Abang Idin Abang Dabet, and treasurer Dr Hamden Gani.

The commi ee members are Mustapha Mahli, Raduan Bujek, Osman Ani, Dr Amin Wahid, Mustaffa Sabki, Satia Yunus, Nor Aman, Leli Toyok, Rosni Yunus, Rosiah Nadzirah Abdullah and M Fatimah.

In his remarks made a er the branch’s annual general meeting (AGM) here recently, Ali said his team would strive to run more activities involving local Muslims and also to reinforce the spirit of unity and cooperation among its members.

Meanwhile, the AGM had reached a resolution on se ing up ‘Yayasan Dakwah, Pendidikan dan Kebajikan Perkis’ – a foundation meant to help the community move forward by adhering to the true Islamic teachings, developing education and highlighting welfare activities.
