Golden Destinations announces ‘Travel Masters 2024’ trio
KUALA LUMPUR: Golden Destinations has announced the appointment of three ‘Travel Masters of Year’ for 2024.
Jack Lim, Owen Yap and Jason Yeoh would be leading groups of tourists on journeys around the world, each with his own designation – Lim as the
‘Happiness Master’, Yeoh is the ‘Taste Master’, and Yap, the ‘Heart Travel Master’.
On the designation, Jack expresses his belief that modern travellers are increasingly seeking higherquality travel experience, as well as willing to invest money for a more advanced and comfortable journey for themselves and their families.
Yap, on his part, emphasises the importance of enjoying the journey and thus, leaving the planning to professionals, adding that the joy of travel extends beyond scenic views to the people one meets in a tour group.
Yeoh, on the other hand, is out to share his insights on food during travel, highlighting the organised arrangements made by Golden Destinations for each season, allowing travellers to responsibly enjoy many culinary experiences.
The three have hinted the possibility of embarking on a group trip together in the future and hosting a ‘travel feast’.
Furthermore, Jack’s ‘Alaska Dream Princess Cruise + Canadian Rockies Dream Journey’, commencing this June 7, is currently open for bookings.
Additionally, Golden Destination has also introduced a new brand, ‘The Signature by GD Premium’, targeting the high-end travel market. The packages include ‘Desperate Tibet: Glacier and Wonderland Exploration’, ‘Melody of Natural Beauty-Eastern and Southern Africa’, ‘Bright Eastern Europe Tour’, ‘Tanzania and Uganda’, ‘Swiss Hiking Tour’, and the ‘Eye-Catching Lands of Spain and Portugal’.
During the recent launch ceremony, Golden Destination managing director Mita Lim said ‘The Signature’ brand would aim to satisfy travellers seeking the ultimate travel experience.
“We acknowledge the distinctiveness of the high-end travel market, emphasising the importance of meeting the unique needs of each market segment.”
Under ‘The Signature’ travel packages, each would be led by well-known guides and each group would consist of no more than 20 people, with itineraries designed to minimise long-distance driving and prevent tourist fatigue.
There would be no compulsory shopping stops, allowing tourists to experience pure tourism comfort. Accommodations would primarily include four-star or five-star hotels, and meals with one Michelin star rating would be provided.
