Govt fully supports King’s order on good governance — PM

The Madani government fully supports His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim’s order for the country to continue its good, transparen­t governance and sustainabl­e economic growth and focus on efforts to improve the people’s living standard.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said it resonated with millions of Malaysians’ aspiration­s to see the country’s continued stability for their prosperity and well-being and have opportunit­ies and a better future for all.

“Hence, let us celebrate the beginning of the reign of the 17th King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim,” he said in a post on Facebook yesterday.

Anwar also stated that the government and the people are grateful to the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin AlMustafa Billah Shah for the far-sighted and visionary views expressed in his role as the Constituti­onal Monarch, allowing the country to enjoy the current political, social and economic stability.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof extended his highest congratula­tions to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, who was sworn in as the 17th King of Malaysia yesterday.

Fadillah, who is Energy Transition and Public Utilities Minister, said he prayed for His Majesty, Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah and the royal family to be granted grace and blessings to lead the nation.

“Long live Your Majesties, Thank You Your Majesties,” he said in his official Facebook post.

Also extending his highest congratula­tions to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim was Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Ahmad Zahid, who is Rural and Regional Developmen­t Minister, expressed his well-wishes, along with the entire ministry, and prayed for the well-being of Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah.

“I pray that Your Majesties will be blessed with good health and to continue reigning the nation with wisdom. Daulat Tuanku,” he said in a post on Facebook.
