Title race wide open in Civil Service League bowling tourney

Having maintained their lead in the 18-team Megalanes Sarawak Civil Service League II after 14 weeks of competitio­n, S.H.I.E.L.D bowlers can’t afford to lose points in the three remaining matches if they are to have any chance of winning the title.

They fell 4-16 to EVO last week but gained 24.08 Peterson points for a total of 533.06 Peterson points and are ahead of secondplac­ed SUK Bowlers by 32.11 Peterson points.

S.H.I.E.L.D are also leading the Team High Game (Scratch) and Team High Series (Scratch) awards with 2,544 pinfalls and 951 pinfalls respective­ly while Nazrin Wagiman is leading the Individual High Game (Scratch) with a perfect game (300) and Individual High Series (Scratch) with 951 pinfalls attained during Week 7.

SUK Bowlers stayed in the title race as they posted a 12-6 win over PSKPP A to collect 35.56

Peterson points and accumulate 500.95 Peterson points.

One Mixx Team remained in the third spot after defeating Dynamixxx 10.5-9.5 to collect 33.15 Peterson points for a total of 492.47 Peterson points.

PSKPP B’s Ruhana Bujang, Siti Hajjar Saibi and Rozalina Baharuddin put up a good performanc­e to score 16.53.5 against Pin Pocket and earned 39.67 Peterson points to accumulate 491.52 Peterson points to climb back to fourth position.

Black Dragon Bowlers dropped to 11th position from eighth following a 4-16 defeat to UBC but the latter are second from bottom of the standings.

The fifth to 18th positions were occupied by The Cops, The Cannon Balls, EVO, Medic Squad, Dynamixxx, PSKPP A, Black Dragon Bowlers, Pin Pocket, De’1D, Kuching Waterboard, UiTM Crocs, SUKBOM, UBC and SDO Mix Crocs.
