Awantec seals RM294 mln deal as Redtone’s tech partner

AwanBiru Technology Berhad (Awantec), the parent company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Awantec Systems Sdn Bhd (ASSB), has officially entered into a service agreement with Redtone Engineerin­g & Network Services Sdn Bhd (Redtone).

This strategic collaborat­ion marks a significan­t milestone for Awantec as the sole managed service provider (MSP) for Google Cloud in Malaysia under the government’s cloud framework agreement (CFA).

The service agreement is valued at RM294.27 million and spans a duration of 57.5 months, commencing on February 14, 2024 and concluding on November 30, 2028.

This collaborat­ion with Redtone is specifical­ly to support the Malaysian government’s unified communicat­ion and collaborat­ion project, MyGovUC3.0.

Awantec will be providing cloud computing solutions and services which includes products such as Google Workspace Enterprise and Google Cloud Platform.

MyGovUC 3.0 is a seamless continuati­on of the highly successful MyGovUC 2.0 project to increase the productivi­ty and quality of public service delivery.

This collaborat­ion demonstrat­es Awantec’s critical role in pioneering digital transforma­tion efforts and improving operations.
