Title in sight as SHIELD claim another win in Civil Service League

KUCHING: S.H.I.E.L.D edged closer to clinching the Megalanes Sarawak Civil Service League II as they claimed another win in the 16th week of competitio­n at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa on Wednesday.

The team of Mohd Faizal Zainor Halim, Marzainah Jayamara, and Nazrin Wagiman produced another good performanc­e as they beat Medic Squad 13-7.

This win earned them 38.23 Peterson points and they still top the 18-team league with 609.17 Peterson points to go into the positionin­g round next Wednesday.

In second with a difference of 39.07 Peterson points are SUK Bowlers, who, despite falling 911 to Black Dragon Bowlers, still managed to collect 31.30 Peterson points and accumulate 570.19 Peterson points.

Staying in third spot are The Cops who also suffered a 8-12 defeat at the hands of De’1D’s Arthur Jelenggai, Muhammad Ainnurridh­a Tarmizy and Syed Arbini Juaindi Wan Husain.

The former has accumulate­d 558.26 Peterson points while the latter gained 35.05 Peterson points for a total of 499.44 Peterson points.

UBC’s Yusralina Yusof, Isa Kumar Jali Sulaiman and Mohd Zulfakhri Mohd Afandi improved their standings by climbing up to 15th position from 17th position following a 17-3 win over PSKPP B.

Due to the defeat, the PSKPP B dropped to fifth position, which gave the leeway for the One Mixx Team to overtake them for the fourth position.

One Mixx Team managed to grab the opportunit­y to take the fourth position after defeating the PSKPP A 15-5 with a total of 558.26 Peterson points after earning themselves 37.77 Peterson points.

Those occupying sixth to 18th positions are EVO, The Cannon Balls, Dynamixxx, Medic Squad, Black Dragon Bowlers, PSKPP A, Pin Pocket, De’1D, Kuching Waterboard, UBC, UiTM Crocs, SUKBOM and SDO Mix Crocs.
