James Hii re-elected Sheda Miri branch head

MIRI: James Hii Sing Lung was re-elected as the head of Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) Miri branch.

Sheda Miri held its 24th annual general meeting (AGM) cum branch election for the 2024-2027 term on Feb 24.

In his acceptance speech, Hii, who is chief executive officer of Green Summit Development Group, highlighted that challenges facing the property industry remained severe due to multiple factors though the market and economy were considered back on track post Covi9-19 pandemic.

“It is vital that Sheda members continue to utilise this important platform and stay united in dealing, resolving and overcoming all these crucial challenges one by one through collaboration with various stakeholders,” he said.

He thanked all Sheda Miri members for their contributions and support during his previous term and hoped to see them continue to participate actively in the new term.

Meanwhile, Hii Lu Hua (Jiajaya Sdn Bhd) was elected as deputy head of branch, Kong San Hoe (Rich Venture Construction Sdn Bhd) as branch secretary, Chan Ho Lin (Green Summit Development Sdn Bhd) as assistant branch secretary and

Dato Sri Wong Yew Hui of Y.H. Wong Enterprise Sdn Bhd was elected as the branch treasurer.

The new branch committee members are Lau Ping Tak (Miri Housing Development Realty Sdn Bhd), Chan Chiok Yu (WSL Xiang Xiang Sdn Bhd),Voon Chien Wun (Miri North City Development Sdn Bhd), Ha How Ming (Amerflex Sdn Bhd), Lau Kieng Fong (Jeban Sdn Bhd) and Jong Chin Hwa (Dinospec Technology Sdn Bhd).

Also present at the AGM were Sheda Miri branch ex officio Tiong Chee Chin of Borwak Sdn Bhd and appointed auditor Wong Bak Zhen of Min Sing Co. Sdn Bhd.
