Hun Haqeem shocked over leak of court case details

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor, Hun Haqeem, 26, has admitted he was surprised and dismayed by the actions of his former management company in publicly exposing details of his breach of contract case.

Hun Haqeem, known for being on the series Kampung People, said that the case was still ongoing in court.

“I’m shocked as the case is still ongoing since I left Metrowealth International Group (MIG) in 2020. Things were on my side in the first round, but even then I never issued any statement.

“Now, when it surfaces, I’m wondering why it has reemerged?” he said when met by the media after the Ramadan Astro 2024 premiere on Thursday.

Expressing his disappointment, the actor, whose full name is Haqeem Hermy, said he hoped it could be resolved amicably.

“I’m really hurt because I only want to bring a good name to the industry as it has a lot of potential. We have many platforms….just want to help one another.

“... after all, it’s a small industry and I believe we will bump into each other frequently, so I want to resolve this nicely, I will follow the court order even though I have a busy schedule,” he said.

MIG owner David Teo had revealed that Hun Haqeem was ordered to pay RM613,500 in compensation to MIG after withdrawing from the production company.

In other developments, Hun Haqeem, who was appointed Ramadan and Raya Astro 2024 campaign ambassador will mingle with orphans and local communities in several states and conduct various community activities and provide positive messages.

Besides Hun Haqeem, other ambassadors appointed include Jalaluddin Hassan, Mierul Aiman, Qasrina Karim and Erysha Emyra. — Bernama
