Everrise launches ‘Gold Member’ card for senior citizens

KUCHING: Homegrown retail chain Everrise has launched a membership card programme meant for senior citizens aged 60 and above.

The Everrise Gold Member Card offers daily discounts and special benefits tailored to cater the needs of its elderly customers.

Senior citizens who are members get to enjoy a three per cent discount on daily purchases, with the maximum discount capped at RM6.

Additional­ly, every Tuesday, they would receive a RM5 discount voucher, redeemable with a minimum purchase of RM50 on selected items such as vegetables, fruits and meats.

Furthermor­e, Gold Card members would be offered special prices for essential needs.

Deputy Minister in Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law, Malaysia Agreement 1963 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, who officiated at the unveiling ceremony, commended Everrise for its commitment in appreciati­ng and supporting the elderly members of the community.

“I would like to congratula­te Everrise, and I wish you all the success in the world,” she said in her speech at the event, which took place at Everrise Mile 4 branch here yesterday.

The retail chain is also running its ‘Festival Gaya Raya 2024’ programme, meant to elevate shoppers’ preparatio­ns throughout this holy month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Everrise Group managing director Colin Sia had announced that in addition to the Gold Card, the group would also launch its ‘Black and Platinum’ card next month.

“The ‘Black and Platinum’ card will provide members with exclusive privileges and benefits, further enhancing their shopping experience at Everrise.

“Everrise is your one-stop destinatio­n for all your essential needs, from delectable treats to elegant attire in preparing for a joyous Raya festival.

“So come, join us in spreading love, joy, and blessings this Ramadan season,” he said.

At the Gold card launch yesterday, Everrise also highlighte­d its commitment to community support by handing over packages of donated essential products to the offices of Sharifah Hasidah and Pertubuhan Pembanguna­n Insan Sarawak (PPIS).
