More than 30 youths participat­e in ‘gamified career devt’ workshop

KUCHING: Some 32 youths took part in the ‘Third Edition of Gamified Career Developmen­t Skills Workshop’ to enhance their career-related skills.

Hosted by Angkatan Zaman Mansang (Azam) Sarawak, the programme meant to provide the participan­ts with insights regarding self-preparatio­n for entering the profession­al world with practical skills, and also fostering the spirit of volunteeri­sm in them.

“This is part of Azam Youth Developmen­t Committee’s programmes meant to help our youths in terms of career developmen­t. The approach that we’re using is a very unique one, where we use business simulation games. The game will expose you to all the challenges in terms of skills, knowledge required for you to climb up the corporate ladder.

“We believe that this programme will be able to provide knowledge that could guide you once you step into the working world,” said Azam Sarawak honorary secretary Mohd Ariff Irwani Azahari in his address for the workshop, at Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) Creative Heritage Innovation Centre (CHIC) here yesterday.

The event, he added, also aimed to facilitate networking opportunit­ies within Azam Young Souls, aligning with the Post Covid-19 Developmen­t Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the latest state developmen­t agenda.

Participan­ts included youths from various sectors including the private sector, state government-linked agencies, SMA, Sarawak Dayak Graduates Associatio­n (SDGA), Stapok Youth Club, Subang Village Youth Club, Sarawak Economic Developmen­t Corporatio­n (SEDC), Sarawak Developmen­t Institute (SDI), Yayasan Kemajuan Insan (YAKIN).

Also present were Sarawak Digital Economy Corporatio­n (SDEC) Bhd public relations executive Asyraf Hardy, SDGA president Dr Jawing Chunggat and Azam Sarawak member Telemachus Lo.
