Padawan 4x4 club plans to upgrade off-road track to hold more activities

The Padawan Adventure 4x4 Club plans to upgrade its present off-road track located at Ma’asa EcoTourism & Event Centre, Jalan Kampung Semadang-Jambusan, to hold more competitio­ns and trainings for members, said its newly-elected president Ramces Tawang.

According to him, the completion of the off-road track last year was the biggest achievemen­t for the club since its inception seven years ago.

“The new committee members will meet soon to plan programmes and activities for 2024 and 2025,” he said, and urged members to give suggestion­s and feedback.

Ramces took over as club president from Marcellinu­s Meran Poes who did not seek re-election at the club’s annual general meeting which was held recently.

Former club secretary Sanjan Daik replaced Alloysius Kuyong as deputy president, with Kencha Dewok taking over as the new secretary assisted by Hansel Meran.

Noel Samuel was appointed treasurer, with Kevin None as assistant treasurer.

The three committee members in the line-up are Pisley Neslin @ Roy, Peter Liefmart Apit and Halix Kuyong.

The meeting also saw the reappointe­d of Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin as the club’s patron, Jimson Jium (advisor), Roland Ginjih and Sabastian Sakol (auditors) and Marcellinu­s Meran (technical advisor).

Others appointed were Robert Kenneth and Wallafasel Jawor (publicity), Keppler Remus (discipline), Andre Ray Sanjan and Melvino Roy Allan (rescue team), Robin Mundih, Derek Hudson and Mohd Som (charity), Noel Samuel and Halix Kuyong (event and finance), Nepa Sengus (asset), Henry Sokep (security), and Henry Betah (food and beverage).

Meanwhile, Ramces in his speech thanked the club members for putting their trust in him to lead the club for the 2024/2025 term, and promised to do his best in organising more activities and programmes.

He also called for members to actively participat­e in the club’s activities and programmes.
