Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia is set to launch its fully electric car, the ORA 07, next month, said YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd executive director Hoong Boon Pau.

Speaking to the media during a preview session yesterday at YLH Autoworld located at Jalan Mendu here, he said the ORA 07 will be officially launched in Kuala Lumpur.

According to Hoong, the Chinese brand’s electric vehicle (EV) will be released in two variants – Long Range and Performance.

Both variants, he said, are available in three colours: Sophisticated Grey, Purple, and White; and are powered by 83.499 kWh-ternary lithium batteries.

“The Long Range variant has a range of 640km, delivering 204 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque.

“Those looking for more power, can check out the Performance model as it has a higher power output at 408 PS and 680 Nm of torque with a lower range of up to 550km.”

Hoong said ORA 07’s feature is sportier than the Porsche Panamera as it has executive silhouette with a touch of retromodern fastback design, such

as closed grille, oval-shaped headlights, hidden door handles, frameless doors, and an adaptive electric spoiler.

Measuring at 4,871mm in length, 1,862mm in width, and 1,500mm in height, the car is adorned with premium leather, a T-shaped hollow centre console with

rotating panels, and ergonomic seats with massage features for driver and front passenger.

There is also a 1.7 square-metre dome-style panoramic sunroof and a smart air conditioning system.

“Prices for either variant will only be announced on the

day of its official launching but is estimated to be around RM170,000 to RM190,000,” said Hoong.

“The public can check out the ORA 07 on display at YLH Autoworld from 9am to 4pm this weekend (March 23 to 24),” he added.
