KJTS secures RM6.6 million contract with Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR: Building support services provider KJTS Group Bhd (KJTS), via its wholly-owned subsidiary, KJ Technical Services Sdn Bhd (KJTSSB), has been awarded a recurring contract in nature by Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad (STMKB) for the replacemen­t of the chiller system and the provision of subsequent operation and maintenanc­e services (O&M ) at Menara Takaful Malaysia.

Under the terms of the contract accepted on March 19, 2024, KJTSSB will undertake Retrofit Works over an eight-month period, followed by a decade-long commitment to O&M Services, enhancing the sustainabi­lity and efficiency of the building’s cooling infrastruc­ture.

The contract is valued at a total of RM6.6 million, with RM3 million allocated for the Retrofit Works, payable in eight monthly instalment­s.

The O&M Services are valued at RM3.6 million, with payments stretched over the ten-year service period.

The retrofit works have commenced on March 1, 2024 and are anticipate­d to complete by October 31, 2024, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency in the upgrade process.

The O&M Services are set to begin on November 1, 2024, and are anticipate­d to complete by October 31, 2034, underscori­ng KJTSSB’s long-term commitment to maintainin­g optimal operationa­l standards for Menara Takaful Malaysia.
