SUPP Bukit Assek to hold LPG cylinder exchange day this March 27

-

SIBU: The Bukit Assek branch of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) has prepared 500 red Petros liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders up for exchange at Xin Yuan Methodist Church (SCAC) at Brooke Drive here, this Wednesday (March 27).

In a statement, Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng said those wishing to swap their old yellow LPG tanks for the new red Petros cylinders must register their names with the branch.

“Only 500 red Petros gas cylinders will be available and only those who have registered their names are eligible to take part,” he said, adding that the registration could be done at branch’s centre at 3&5, Jalan Tong Sang, Lane I here.

“The registration runs on March 25 and 26, from 9am to 4.30pm daily, and also March 27, from 9am to noon.

“Following registration, the participants will each receive a ticket entitling them to the tank-change,” he said.

The exchange programme on March 27 will be divided into three sections: from 6pm to 7pm, 7pm to 8pm, and 8pm to 9pm.

“These sessions would be stated on the tickets, given to the participants right after the registration.

Adding on, Chieng told the participants that they must use Jalan Lun to enter the church, where the exchange would take place, and after that, exit into Brooke Drive.

“Do not disembark from your cars, as the exchange of the tanks will be done via the drive-thru method.

“The whole idea is to avoid congestion,” he pointed out.

Chieng said those who registered and had received their ticket, but did not show up for the event, would have their tickets marked as ‘void’.

“Walk-in customers will not be accepted; unused yellow gas cylinders will not be accepted for the exchange,” he reminded.

The price of a Petros LPG cylinder for household usage remains at RM26.60, for selfcollection.
