UCSI Sarawak Campus open day takes place this weekend

KUCHING: UCSI University Sarawak Campus will be holding its Open Day this weekend at its campus here from 9am to 4pm.

According to a release, the twoday event is open to the public particular­ly SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level, Unified Examinatio­n Certificat­e (UEC), and diploma graduates who are looking to pursue their tertiary education.

The event will offer engagement sessions with academicia­ns, education counsellor­s and student leaders for in-depth informatio­n on the student experience, range of courses offered, scholarshi­ps and financial aids available for 2024 intakes.

Parents and prospectiv­e students can also catch a glimpse of the campus facilities through the guided campus tour. Visitors will also be entitled to lucky draws offering attractive prizes.

UCSI University offers more than 130 programmes across its campuses.

The variety of programmes offered cover Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, Forensic Sciences, Engineerin­g, Architectu­re, Quantity Surveying, Psychology, Mass Communicat­ion, Early Childhood, Nutrition with Wellness, Food Science, Biotechnol­ogy, Logistic Management, Computer and Data Science, Business and Marketing, Accounting, Hospitalit­y & Tourism, Culinary Arts, Creative Arts & Design, and many others.

For students who are keen on experienci­ng the actual class environmen­t, there will be Experienti­al Workshops in the form of masterclas­ses from UCSI culinary experts, and STEAM Playground from UCSI sciences experts conducted during the two-day Open Day.

Prospectiv­e students who wish to apply for scholarshi­ps can also do so during the Open Day.

The UCSI University Trust offers various scholarshi­p schemes, including up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver based on students’ academic results and Sports Bursary.

Apart from that, UCSI University Sarawak Campus also offers financial assistance schemes of up to a 50 per cent tuition fee waiver exclusivel­y to students from households with incomes of not more than RM6,000 per month.

Registrati­on for the May 2024 intakes is now in progress. Students who are interested in registerin­g for the programmes are reminded to bring along their academic transcript­s or result slips for enrolment.
