Open Day at Nexus

-

nEXUS International School is opening its doors to prospective students and their parents during the week of March 11-15 to see learning in action.

Parents and children are welcome to experience how Nexus International School teaches its students to become independent learners, critical thinkers and high achievers.

There will also be an Information Open Day on March 16 for prospective primary school children and their parents.

Open Day and Open Week provide a great opportunity for parents to learn more about what it feels like to be a learner at Nexus.

In addition, visitors will be able to meet with the school’s highly qualified expatriate teachers to find out more about the Primary and Secondary curriculums and visit the Nexus Boarding House.

Located in Putrajaya, Nexus International School is accessible from KL Sentral via the KLIA Express or a 30-minute drive down the Sungai Besi or Seremban highways.

The primary school learning programme employs the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) while the secondary school is based on the UK National Curriculum enriched with best practice from other countries.

ICT is fully integrated into the curriculum to facilitate learning and prepare learners to become global citizens of the 21st century.

Each classroom is fitted with an interactive Smartboard or wireless interactive projector and learners enhance their daily learning with the use of MacBook laptops and iPads.

The Nexus Scholarship Programme is currently offering a full two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma scholarships to students with SPM qualifications or current IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) students.

Scholarships offer a boarding option and are open to all Malaysian students.

Nexus International School principal Alison Hampshire says: “We invite parents to come and visit us during Open Day and Open Week to actually see how the school provides top-quality international education to our learners.”

She adds that Nexus is especially excited to be able to offer IB Diploma scholarships, as the IB Diploma is seen as the most pres- tigious internationally recognised examination for entry into worldclass universities.

Nexus is fully authorised and accredited by the IB Diploma organisation to offer the qualification and has a current Year 12 cohort already studying for the Diploma programme who will be available to answer questions from prospective parents and students.

Parents who enrol their children during Open Week are eligible for an admission fee waiver of RM1,000.
