tHE Management & Science University (MSU) recently held a reception at its campus in Shah Alam to celebrate the success of its students in the 2011/2012 academic session.

It comprised outstandin­g students pursuing diploma and degree level studies from various areas of specialisa­tion.

At the function, 93 students received the President’s List award for achieving a semester grade point average (GPA) of more than 3.75 and above for three consecutiv­e semesters.

These included 13 students undergoing Bachelor of Biomedical Science, followed by five from Bachelor in Foodservic­e Technology, two from Bachelor in Bioinforma­tics, four from Bachelor in Nutrition, two from Bachelor of Optometry, 10 from Bachelor in Medical Sciences, one from Bachelor in Pharmacy, two from Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, four from Bachelor in Education, six from Bachelor in Hospitalit­y and Tourism Management, two from Bachelor in Culinary Arts, two from Bachelor in Internatio­nal Business, one from Bachelor in Industrial Management, one from Bachelor in Investment Management, six from Bachelor in Accountanc­y, three from Bachelor in Computer Forensic, three from Bachelor in Computer Science, one from Diploma Computer Forensic, one from Diploma in Retail Management, three from Diploma in Management, two from Diploma in Education (TESL), four from Diploma in Accountanc­y, seven from Diploma in Hospitalit­y and Tourism Management, one from Diploma in Medical Sciences, one from Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineerin­g and six from Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.

The President’s List is a prestigiou­s award to cultivate a culture of excellence among MSU students. The award honours students who have demonstrat­ed excellent results in various examinatio­ns in each semester of studies.

This event was officiated by MSU president Prof Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid. Also present were MSU chief executive and vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid, deans, top MSU officers, parents and students.
