Thou­sands of raw tal­ents have been pro­duced, hav­ing un­der­gone a mag­i­cal trans­for­ma­tion to worldly fash­ion-savvy de­sign­ers through its teach­ing sys­tem, which has been bench­marked as the pil­lar of in­no­va­tion.

This is achieved through ex­cit­ing fash­ion pro­grammes guided with a unique teach­ing ma­tric­u­la­tion that is com­pre­hen­sive, for­ward and pro­gres­sive with co­her­ent in­dus­try needs and mar­ket re­quire­ments.

IFTC cour­ses

The two-and-a-half-year full course is its sig­na­ture pro­gramme, which trains stu­dents from A to Z with the nec­es­sary study cur­ricu­lum to be an as­pir­ing fash­ion star.

The pro­gramme in­cludes de­sign and cre­ativ­ity de­vel­op­ment, pat­tern mak­ing for all cat­e­gories from ca­sual, cor­po­rate, con­tem­po­rary, evening and bridal styles to in­dus­trial and high fash­ion de­signer col­lec­tions.

It also cov­ers elec­tive mod­ules from sta­teof-the-art fash­ion IT de­sign, mer­chan­dis­ing and busi­ness as well as footwear and bag de­sign to English Fash­ion Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, French Con­ver­sa­tion, run­way pre­sen­ta­tion and fash­ion the­ory sub­jects.

Twin­ning de­gree pro­gramme in Paris

IFTC’s di­ploma grad­u­ates can ob­tain di­rect en­try to the fi­nal year at Paris Amer­i­can Academy, France, in­stead of three years, sav­ing time and cost.

Menswear fash­ion (new course)

IFTC in­tro­duces a new course in menswear, a grow­ing prospect of the com­mer­cial fash­ion in­dus­try. The course – from begin­ner, in­ter­me­di­ate and ad­vance lev­els – is avail­able full time for school-leavers and part-time for work­ing adults.

Fash­ion and Life­style En­trepreneur­ship Course

This in­cludes a mas­ter­class by fash­ion ex­pert/IFTC prin­ci­pal An­nie Wong. This spe­cialised course is for work­ing and pro­fes­sional women seek­ing a se­cond ca­reer op­tion.

The pro­gramme will guide stu­dents in de­sign­ing and pro­duc­ing fin­ished prod­ucts to cre­at­ing a fash­ion or life­style la­bel and web­site, op­er­at­ing on­line stores sell­ing fash­ion, bou­tiques or wed­ding pack­age deals for trad­ing and re­tail busi­nesses.

JPK fash­ion pro­grammes

IFTC is a reg­is­tered cen­tre un­der JPK (Ja­batan Pem­ban­gu­nan Kemahi­ran) to run Skill Malaysia fash­ion pro­grammes from Level 1-3 (Cer­tifi­cate) and Level 4 (Di­ploma). Stu­dents in need can also ob­tain full study loans from PTPK.

IFTC Young Fash­ion Stars Run­way: First year grad­u­at­ing stu­dents pre­sent­ing in­no­va­tive fash­ion de­signs in trendy ready-to-wear, high fash­ion con­tem­po­rary, evening and bridal cou­ture. The stu­dents de­signed, drafted, cut, sewed and dec­o­rated the out­fits them­selves.
