DOMA College was established in June 2012 by a group of eminent private Malaysian architects. The name Doma College was instituted in September 2012 which carries the meaning “Domain of Master Apprenticeship”.

Doma College emphasises on industrial experiences. The programme helps potential students to develop their job skills and industrial readiness so that they will be prepared to find work as apprentices. Programmes are up to 24 months in duration in-college and includes professional training in the relevant field for up to four months.

Upon successful completion of both the professional training and in-college learning, students will be awarded a Diploma and a Professional Certificate.

Doma College’s tagline “Designed around you” aims to help average students succeed in entering pathway universities through the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) foundation study. Classes are rarely more than 50 students – a small class environment will give you a greater opportunity to ask ques- tions, participate in discussions, and have a lecturer/professor who actually knows who you are. The college also provides additional services such as visa application and travel arrangement for students.

One of the most important factors in students’ success in college is interaction with their lecturers. These interactions offer the deepest kind of learning experiences by enabling students to ask questions related to their own struggles and interests, to take responsibility for their own intellectual development and to make more personal connections with their lecturers.

In Doma College, programmes widen students’ experience by critically examining relationships among academic disciplines. Depending on selected theme- based programmes, students will work in a small seminar group of not more than 20 students.

While it is a relatively new college, the people within the college who help the college grow come with educational experience and from various backgrounds.

If you’re looking for a solid pathway to university but have lessthan-perfect grades, the GAC programme is what you want to check out. The GAC programme is a university preparation programme that provides students with academic knowledge, skills and confidence to enter and successfully complete a bachelors degree at one of the many selected universities.

GAC graduates can apply for admission at more than 100 universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Singapore and South-East Asian countries.

The programmes will serve as an open forum for discussing business course expectations. This one-year programme includes English listening and speaking skills, Mathematics, Computing, Business Science and Workplace Communication Skills.

If you are looking to join their foundation study or diploma programmes, apply early. They offer “Early Bird Savings” worth up to 30% on full-time courses.

Applicants must submit their application and meet the entry requirements by Dec 15, 2013 for the January 2014 intake in order to qualify for the savings.
