Wholesome learning for kids

-

SINCE Krista opened its doors some 15 years ago, thousands of young children have benefited from its wonderful programmes and meaningful activities.

Krista Bukit Antarabangsa Selangor operator Stephanie Fernandez shares her thoughts on the Krista Capable Programme, “The Krista Preschool Programme has been successful as it has been carefully designed to cater to children from diverse backgrounds and upbringing and is age-appropriate.

“The children’s progress can be seen within a few months and parents are also very satisfied with their young children’s ability to converse both in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

“Creative role-play activities and sensorial experiences that are part of the programme have helped tremendously in the overall developmental progress in the kids.”

Krista understands the uniqueness and the different needs of each child and provides the right conducive environment and experiences so he may be nurtured to mature into a balanced, resourceful, successful and wonderful individual.

Krista’s Capable Programme focuses on individuality, effective acquisition of knowledge, character building and achieving competency. It is designed to promote all-round, healthy development for the child during the early childhood years and carried out in a fun, exciting and creative environment.

The Capable Programme opens the minds of children to the workings and wonders of the world they live in. They also get to explore and experience other essential aspects of their development. It is geared towards providing a springboard for the child to become a well-balanced and “total” person in his later years.

Krista books and teaching materials are tailored according to various learning and experience stages. Children at the tender age of three are gently introduced to the path of learning and experience in a most fun and enjoyable way using its “Fun” book series.

Four-year olds are a curious lot and Krista provides the opportunity for them to discover the world around them through its “Discovering” book series.

At the age of five where kids have more questions than one can answer, Krista leads them through the “Exploring” book series before they progress more aggressively into the “Study” book series at six. This series prepares children for a smooth transition to primary school education.

The Krista Capable Programme is supported by Krista’s day-to-day teachers’ guide, Krista workbooks, trained principals and teachers, fun and enjoyable extracurricular activities and the use of themes and Montessori methods.

The Krista e-Discovery Programme, an in-house computer programme, focuses on a combination of logical, linguistic, visual as well as musical intelligence. It lends support to the academic curriculum and gives the children useful IT exposure.

Krista’s Capable Programme also provides for parental involvement where there are opportunities for parents to interact with one another. Increased continuity between a child’s home and preschool programme and activities will contribute greatly to smoother social adjustment and better school performance.

“Krista Pusat Bandar Putra Permai (PBPP) is a wonderful preschool with a personable, dedicated and caring team. Our child, Nicholas, has learned so much and has developed to become a confident individual since attending this kindergarten. It’s the extra quality care that makes it a special place.

“As parents, we have always found the connection and communication between the staff and us to be open at all times. We have seen how our child has developed important social skills and confidence through structured activities under the guidance of the dedicated staff and this he will need as he journeys on in his schooling life,” says Bernice Ler.
