Herbal hair fall remedies

-

IN this day and age, we are constantly bombarded by images of celebrities who epitomise physical perfection with dazzling hair and marvellous skin. These attributes were achieved by delicate care and, in some cases, progressive therapy. There are dedicated professionals who aid them in their pursuit of pristine hair and skin.

Neeta’s Herbal strives to achieve the same thing using traditional herb-based products to optimise the health of your hair and skin. In its 25-year history, a vast array of hair and skin conditions has been identified and successfully remedied using only natural, nonsynthetic products.

This unique method of haircare combines modern technology with Ayurvedic medicine. In her quest for solutions to ever-present hair problems, the founder of this enterprise, Neeta Gosalia, has analysed and tested every viable treatment technique known.

It is important to first understand the various aspects of each disorder. Among the commonly known conditions, alopecia takes the title of being the most notorious. It exists in a plethora of forms. Androgenic alopecia is where hair fall is caused by miniaturisation of hair follicles due to the overproduction of hormones, primarily testosterone and its active metabolite dihydrotestosterone. Androgenic alopecia presents in distinct patterns in both males and females.

In the male pattern, hair recedes from the front of the scalp, while in the female pattern hair is lost primarily over the crown (middle of the scalp) with sparing of the frontal hair.

Another common form of alopecia is alopecia areata. This is considered an autoimmune disease where multiple structures of the hair follicle are mistakenly antagonised by our own immune system during its growth phase, resulting in improper hair development. Approximately 20% of areata sufferers have a family history of it, while in others the disorder may be triggered by a major life event such as an illness, pregnancy or posttraumatic stress. The effects of this disease are physically represented as patches that appear on non-specific areas of the scalp.

Despite being slightly less common, another hair ailment that is worthy of mention is telogen effluvium.

The telogen phase is a natural phase of the hair growth cycle in which a small number of hair shafts are shed from their follicles.

During telogen effluvium, an increased proportion of hair follicles are forced into this phase, inducing excessive shedding of hair.

It is important to establish that not all hair fall problems can be attributed to genetic defects or complicated diseases. Very frequently our hair is cornered into a detrimental state due to unhealthy habits that contribute to the degradation of the hair follicle and its associated structures.

For most of the disorders mentioned, modern medicine suggests a cocktail of drugs such as minoxidil, finasteride and a variety of corticosteroids.

However, in most cases, they fail to mention the side effects of these drugs.

Neeta’s Herbal prefers the use of naturally occurring, non-synthetic ingredients to nurture and strengthen your hair.

It is possible to reverse any and all of the problems metioned using simple herbal countermeasures that are safe and free of debilitating side effects.

Apart from haircare, Neeta’s Herbal also administers treatment for skin problems and disorders. Hair wigs, hair extensions and customised wigs are also available at its centres.
