tHEY say love con­quers all, that love makes the world go round. And for that, ev­ery Feb 14, lovers the world over cher­ish St Valen­tine’s Day.

But what makes this year’s Valen­tine’s Day even more aus­pi­cious is that it co­in­cides with Chap Goh Meh, the Chi­nese ver­sion of that very ro­man­tic day.

The Western Valen­tine’s Day be­gan as an an­nual fes­tiv­ity of af­fec­tion, dat­ing back to the days of an­cient Ro­man civil­i­sa­tion.

To­day, it is pop­u­larly cel­e­brated with flower bou­quets and choco­lates in heart-shaped boxes.

Can­dle­light din­ners are also sig­nif­i­cantly as­so­ci­ated with Valen­tine’s Day.

The Ship has pre­pared a spe­cial four-course set din­ner for you to treat the love of your life.

Set in the rus­tic in­te­ri­ors of a time­less gal­ley abound with ro­mance, the Valen­tine’s din­ner set starts off with Fresh Mango Cock­tail Shrimp and Chi­na­town Shark Fin and Crab­meat Soup.

Savour fresh prawns served on a bed of tangy diced mango and shred­ded fresh let­tuce, topped with cock­tail sauce and The Ship’s spe­cial­ity, an Ori­en­tal fare with a western twist and served with black vine­gar.

Next, tuck into de­lec­ta­ble choices of main course – Char­broiled Sir­loin Steak or Grilled Salmon Fil­let and Tiger Prawn with Green Pep­per Sauce.

A sig­na­ture dish of The Ship, sink your teeth into our de­li­cious, ten­derly grilled and suc­cu­lent sir­loin steak that is also served with but­tered broc­coli, corn on cob and po­tato wedges.

For fish lovers, the lus­cious con­cord of grilled salmon fil­let and tiger prawns served with mini salad, corn on the cob and po­tato wedges will cer­tainly en­tice your taste buds.

As the evening pro­gresses af­ter the mains, love­birds will get the chance to in­dulge in the ir­re­sistible sweet­ness of The Ship’s ice cream cup­cake.

The spe­cial set menus are priced at RM89.90++ for a sin­gle set or­dered and RM169.90++ for the cou­ple set.

The Ship restau­rants will also be giv­ing away a com­pli­men­tary gift for each set or­dered.

In ad­di­tion, a wide va­ri­ety of a la carte selec­tions are also avail­able for you to choose as your own Valen­tine pref­er­ence.

De­spite the on­go­ing MRT con­struc­tion work in Kuala Lumpur, Fun­theque and The Ship Restau­rant re­main open, serv­ing up both great en­ter­tain­ment and a va­ri­ety of de­lec­ta­ble re­fresh­ments to loyal cus­tomers.
