tHE pre-university programmes at SEGi are perfect stepping stones for any school-leaver who wishes to progress to tertiary education. The wide range of pre-university programmes prepares students for further studies in any field, from medicine to social sciences.
The Foundation studies in SEGi are designed to equip post-secondary school students with the knowledge, skills and practice needed to qualify for university entrance and provides a smooth transition from secondary studies to tertiary studies. Many students who completed SEGi’s pre-university programmes have gained placement in degree programmes of their choice in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.
Students can also choose from SEGi’s long list of twinning degree programmes with global partners in the UK, the USA and Australia. SEGi’s consortium of global partners include University of Abertay Dundee, University of Greenwich, Teesside University, University of Sunderland, University of St Mark & St John, York St John University and University of London from the UK; Upper Iowa University from the US; and University of Southern Queensland from Australia.
Recently, SEGi was recognised as the leader in the higher private education sector by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education by sweeping several accolades in the 2013 Malaysia Quality Evaluation System (MyQuest) ratings. Carried out every two years, MyQuest rates private colleges and universities from one (poor) to six stars (excellent).
All five SEGi campuses were awarded up to six stars in various categories, making SEGi one of the few higher private education groups to earn the most accolades in one of the most recognised evaluations by the Ministry.
