uNITAR In­ter­na­tional Univer­sity, one of the first pri­vate higher ed­u­ca­tional In­sti­tu­tions in the coun­try, is set to in­crease its in­ter­na­tional stu­dent fra­ter­nity by par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Ed­u­ca­tion Malaysia Ex­po­si­tion in Tripoli, Libya.

UNITAR’s main ob­jec­tive of par­tic­i­pat­ing in the expo was to ex­pose the Libyan mar­ket to Malaysia’s ed­u­ca­tion sys­tem as well as to in­tro­duce its in­no­va­tive so­cial sciences pro­grammes.

Over 20 ed­u­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tions from Malaysia took part in the two-day ed­u­ca­tion expo on Jan 13 and 14, 2014, show­cas­ing their course of­fer­ings.

“It is time for UNITAR to in­crease its pres­ence in in­ter­na­tional ex­po­si­tions such as this. This year, our tar­get is to strengthen our pres­ence in the In­dian sub­con­ti­nent, South-East Asia and in the Mid­dle East,” said UNITAR In­ter­na­tional Univer­sity strate­gic al­liance and com­mu­ni­ca­tions of­fice di­rec­tor Sheikh Fahmy Sheikh Mo­hamed.

“We def­i­nitely hope to con­tinue to grow our in­ter­na­tional stu­dent num­bers by another 60%. UNITAR pro­vides value-for-money and high-qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion within a com­fort­able en­vi­ron­ment.

The univer­sity’s new cam­pus in Ke­lana Jaya with ex­ten­sive fa­cil­i­ties such as stu­dent lounge, li­brary, dance stu­dio and flex­i­ble classrooms is lo­cated be­side the Ke­lana Jaya Po­lice Sta­tion, and the ameni­ties close by in­clude ma­jor es­tab­lish­ments such as Gi­ant Hy­per­mar­ket, Par­a­digm Mall, Em­pire Shop­ping Gallery, Sun­way Pyra­mid and Subang Pa­rade.

UNITAR In­ter­na­tional Univer­sity is reg­is­ter­ing new stu­dents in all its cam­puses in Malaysia from now un­til Feb 14.

A unique fea­ture of UNITAR is the ex­is­tence of 10 re­gional cen­tres in dif­fer­ent lo­ca­tions. Ac­cess to ed­u­ca­tion is a pri­mary goal of UNITAR and stu­dents can choose to study its cour­ses through the 10 re­gional cen­tres at Kota Kinabalu, Kuch­ing, Alor Se­tar, Kota Baru, Jo­hor Baru, Ipoh, Pe­nang, Malacca and Jengka.
