WITH Valen­tine’s Day and Chap Goh Meh (the Chi­nese ver­sion of V-Day) fall­ing on the same day tomorrow, Star rFM 988 is go­ing all out to en­sure that your week will be full of ro­mance and love with a brand new Valen­tine’s Day ra­dio drama en­ti­tled Rain­bow, which made its de­but on Tues­day.

The show is a mile­stone as it gath­ers tal­ent from out­side the in­dus­try in a ra­dio drama for the first time, with lo­cal celebri­ties Steve Yap, Jane Ng and Soo Wincci lend­ing their voices to the char­ac­ters, to­gether with Star rFM 988 dee­jays Ch­eryl lee ( and Chan Fong.

There will be a to­tal of eight sto­ries with 16 episodes in this Chi­nese drama, each re­volv­ing around in­ter­per­sonal re­la­tion­ships that are both rel­e­vant and re­lat­able.

“I am ex­cited and ner­vous at the same time, as this is my very first project for 2014,” says lee.

“Al­though I have done ra­dio drama be­fore, this is the first time I am work­ing with tal­ent like Steve Yap, Soo Wincci and Jane Ng on one.”

988 Morn­ing Up an­nouncer Chan Fong, who is thrilled to be part of this project, says: “I get to work with peo­ple I have known for years, and also peo­ple who are mak­ing their first ap­pear­ances on ra­dio drama.

It is new and fresh for our lis­ten­ers, es­pe­cially those who are look­ing for­ward to cel­e­brat­ing Chap Goh Meh and Valen­tine’s Day.”
