Smart start for young learners

-

PARENTS across the nation are realising the life-long benefits of a quality, wellrounded early childhood education. The early childhood education experience includes enabling young children to establish a solid foundation for the acquisition of knowledge and skills through learning programmes in a secure and nurturing environment.

To ensure that their child is nurtured academically, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively, Farouk Shah Sahol Hameed and Noorhida’Ayu A. Latiff decided to enrol their four-year-old daughter, Noor Airis Nadia Farouk Shah at Smart Reader Kids Selayang Jaya, Selangor, after their family members informed them that it provides a good teaching and learning environment.

“The environment is wonderful and the teachers have proven to be well-trained. At a young age, our daughter has shown immense improvement in reading. She loves to do her school work and is able to manage herself fairly well. Smart Reader Kids is without a doubt the best early childhood programme for our daughter,” said Noorhida’Ayu.

Contented that her daughter is able to speak rather well in English, Noorhida’Ayu revealed that they often conduct role-play sessions at home. As her daughter aspires to be a teacher, she and her husband will occasionally pretend to be students and her daughter will teach them the lessons she learned in pre-school.

Lee Pei Pei was eager for her four-year-old daughter to get a head start in life. Through recommendations from family and friends, she enrolled Ooi Ee En at Smart Reader Kids Kawasan Perniagaan Sungai Rambai, Penang.

“Ever since my daughter went to Smart Reader Kids, she has developed self-discipline and learned to speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

“Her teachers also teach her to sing, write, dance and read,” shared Lee, who is very happy with her daughter’s progress.

Having learned about Smart Reader Kids from his cousin, Ragunathan Raman and his wife had reasons for enrolling their six-yearold son, Arvind Ragunathan, at Smart Reader Kids Taman Bidara, Selayang, Selangor.

Besides the good learning environment and the effectiveness of the Smart Reader Kids programme, they also found the fees affordable compared with other early childhood education centres in their neighbourhood.

Ragunathan noticed obvious progress in his son’s character development and academic achievements.

“He was very playful and often spent his time playing games. He fared poorly in reading and writing, too. However, after taking up the Smart Reader Kids programme for oneand-a-half-year, I noticed that he has become more organised and can read and write better,” shared Ragunathan, adding that his son often mentioned that he likes his teachers and their teaching style.

The proud father added, “Since he will be entering Standard One next year, I believe he will have a smooth transition to primary school as most of the standard subjects taught in primary school have been covered in Smart Reader Kids.”
