Solid grounding in law and business

-

SINCE 1991, Brickfields Asia College (BAC) has established itself as the fastest and smartest way to UK law and business degrees and an excellent reputation for quality education.

Its partnerships and affiliations with over 20 foreign universities and professional organisations offer access to over 70 worldclass law and business degrees and professional qualifications that can be completed locally or abroad.

The Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) A-Level is recognised in over 150 countries. It is the most widely accepted in the world.

Students can choose BAC’s Cambridge ALevel Express Route (11 months) or Standard Route (18 months). BAC’s A-Level Express Route will give students an edge. Coupled with BAC’s UK Transfer Degree Programme in Law or Business, students can graduate up to two years ahead of their peers.

Last year, two BAC students were awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards – Amanda Kong was awarded the Best Student in the World for Law and Lau Foong Yee was the Best Student in the World for Business Studies.

BAC is reputed for being the nation’s No.1 law school. In 2012 and 2013 alone, BAC students secured 63 First Class Honours (LLB) degrees from the respective partner universities. BAC is also one of the first institutions in Malaysia to offer two routes to a law degree – the University of London International Programme (UOL) and UK Transfer Degree Programme (Law) – recognised by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia (LPQB) and the Law Society in the UK.

The UOL programme is an affordable internationally recognised UK qualification with the distinction as being the only “external” law degree recognised by the LPQB.

The UK Transfer Programme (Law) enables students to complete their first and/or second year of degree in Malaysia and subsequently transfer to any of BAC’s partner universities for the final year.

BAC also offers a UK Transfer degree programme in Business, which works the same way as its Law counterpart.

It offers students a choice of over 50 degrees from a range of top-notch universities. This programme also allows students to complete up to two years of a three-year internationally recognised business degree in Malaysia.

The UK Transfer degree programme (Business) offers firm grounding in fundamental business concepts before branching out into specific fields as BAC provides a comprehensive educational experience.

BAC’s city campus comprises three premises, one of which is the RM10mil stateof-the-art student resource centre.

In addition, the college operates two reasonably priced luxurious student accommodations – Mutiara Residency and the new RM15mil BAC Residences.

BAC’s aggressive expansion plans has now seen a brand new RM80mil campus located in the heart of Petaling Jaya city that promises students the best of cutting-edge facilities.

To make tertiary education more accessible, BAC has set up the Brickfields Education Fund that awards Merit Scholarships and Financial Aid Scholarships based on academic excellence and financial need.

BAC has also collaborated with the Star Education Fund, MAPCU Education Fund and Sin Chew Education Fund.

Other forms of financial assistance include interest-free instalment payment schemes, PTPTN loans and EPF withdrawals.

Students also receive constantly updated digital notes to further enhance their education experience.

Recently, BAC was awarded the Best Brands Award in 2012 for Corporate Branding in Education (Law) by BrandLaureate and the 2013 SME Recognition Award for Service Excellence.
