Forming a fruitful alliance

-

UNITAR International University (UNITAR) has increased its international university partnerships by forming an alliance with the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.

The partnership is designed to promote the internationalisation of higher education in Business and Management and also cultural cooperation between Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

The agreement with University of Bradford is drawn up in accordance with and under the terms of University of Bradford’s Quality Assurance Arrangements for Collaborative Provision to regulate academic, financial, administrative and practical areas.

Among the areas concerned are International student recruitment, faculty and curriculum development and exchange, doctoral programmes, including split PhDs, capacity building and training programmes, joint research programmes as well as recognition and articulation agreements.

“Partnering with University of Bradford, which has over 50 years of academic excellence in the UK is an honour for UNITAR and represents the right choice for our students to begin their international education pathway,” said UNITAR International University Strategic Alliance and Communications Office director Sheikh Fahmy Sheikh Mohamed.

UNITAR Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Business Administrations (Hons) students under the articulation programme will be able to continue their second and final year at University of Bradford.

Students of any of the courses stated who successfully complete Year 1 at UNITAR with no failures across the Principles of Accounting and Principles of Finance modules and also meet Bradford School’s of Mathematic and English Language requirements will be eligible for admission to Stage 2 (Level 5) of the Bradford BSc (Hons) Business and Management Studies programme.

An added benefit of studying at Bradford is that international students are entitled to scholarships of up to 50% off the tuition fee.

Interested applicants can get in touch with the scholarship management team at Bradford.

UNITAR students would be able to find a warm and comfortable place to sleep, study or just relax – University of Bradford is proud of The Green, its student accommodation that has been awarded first prize for Best Student Housing at the prestigious College and University Business Officers (CUBO).

A £40mil (RM217mil) student village, The Green is a purposebuilt student village at the City Campus, putting students right at the heart of the university’s academic studies, student facilities, support services and social activities.

It is a unique example of sustainable building design and development of its kind in the world, making the most of natural resources such as solar power and rainwater and costing very little to heat and light up the place.

A student social programme featuring a team of students acting as ambassadors to organise events, trips and competitions for sustainable living at The Green add to the community spirit felt throughout the student village.
