Stimulating learning platform
tHE ATC School of Business and Management is an epitome of solid foundation in offering business programmes to people from all walks of life and shaping them into high calibre graduates.
Since its inception more than two decades ago, the growth of the school was established through its strong commitment to academic excellence and intellectual evolution.
Parallel with the school’s philosophy to produce professionals fit for business and fit for life, it aims to provide a stimulating learning platform that will take students from the classroom to the boardroom, acquiring both a holistic education and skills that will enable them to connect with the industry.
The internship programme, which is compulsory for all our students, allow them to experience the real world of business, to enhance lecture-room learned knowledge and to be exposed to situations in which they must strive on their own to be the winning player.
The school promises unconditional access to its academic team – a group of experienced, dedicated educational experts with strong links to industry and to the professions either through their industrial careers or research. This is important and the most significant is being able to relate the academic knowledge with current business practice and conveying it to students in a meaningful and thoughtprovoking way.
ATC offers Certificate in Business Studies (CBS) for students with one credit in SPM and Diploma in Management and Diploma in Marketing programmes for those with three credits and above as a pathway to their degree studies.
These programmes are designed to cater to the needs of those seek- ing a career in management or marketing at the sub-professional level.
While pursuing their pre-tertiary studies, students are also required to go through internship programmes at established companies to put into practice their theoretical knowledge while preparing them to enter the competitive employment world.
The collaboration with St Mary’s University, London (SMU) to conduct its BA Management Studies degree programme is another milestone for the ATC School of Business and Management.
Founded in 1850 to meet the need for teachers to provide an education for the growing number of poor children, SMU has a proud history of strong academic performance with an excellent track record for placing graduates in good employment or appropriate postgraduate study.
The ATC School of Business and Management alliance with SMU aspires to produce graduates who have a strong regional and international perception of business, pushing the boundaries to ensure that it produces global graduates who are able to participate in designing their own future while facilitating the country’s growth.
