aT Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), it believes that education should be made available to everyone. Therefore, it is IUKL’s mission to provide quality, recognised and affordable education for all fresh school-leavers.
There is a variety of financial assistance available to students at IUKL. IUKL scholarships are offered to students who score at least 5As in the SPM or CGPA 3.000 in the STPM, and for those who graduate with a diploma or foundation, it requires a CGPA of at least 3.500 to be eligible for the scholarships.
In addition to the scholarships, the IUKL Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is offered to all its existing students every semester. Students need to score a CGPA of at least 3.500 each semester.
If you have a CGPA of 3.500 to 3.750, you will receive a 30% tuition fee waiver for your next semester. If you manage to score a CGPA of 3.571 to 4.000, a 60% tuition fee waiver awaits.
This is part of IUKL’s initiative to encourage students to concentrate and excel in their studies, at the same time reducing the burden of students and parents.
The fees structure at IUKL is also designed to ease the burden of students. The tuition fees per semester can be paid by flexible instalment. Education loans such as PTPTN, MARA and financial assistance from the State Foundation are also available.
Established over 15 years ago, IUKL is rated as an Excellence University (Tier 5) in SETARA’11 by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). It is the first institution in Malaysia to implement infrastructure-oriented curriculum in the areas of study offered. IUKL believes that infrastructure is not restricted to buildings, construction and technologies, but also includes soft infrastructure such as communication, language skills, commerce and information technology.
IUKL offers programmes that are sought-after by the industry such as Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Corporate Communications, English Language Studies and Biotechnology.
Equipped with other programmes such as Water and Wastewater, Geomatics, Landscape Architecture, Property Management, Information Systems, Multimedia, Software Engineering, Agriculture and Sports Management, IUKL provides a learning space for students to get ready for a bright future. This is evidenced by the 90% employment rate of IUKL students who graduate within six months.
Programmes offered at IUKL are approved by the Ministry of Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and are recognised and accredited by professional bodies both in Malaysia and abroad, including the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Washington Accord, the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), ACCA, CIMA and CPA Australia.
Routes connecting international education is also provided through the cooperation between IUKL and several international universities in the United Kingdom, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, China, The Netherlands and Germany.
IUKL student community is a combination of local and international students from 50 countries. Laboratories, learning and research facilities at IUKL are well-equipped and up-to-date.
For students who live far from Kuala Lumpur, hostels are available on campus. All these are situated on a 100-acre (40.5ha) green campus. Extracurricular activities such as sports, language skills, entrepreneurship charitable activities, art and culture will also be covered.
The March intake is in progress. You can start a programme at IUKL with only RM100 and enjoy RM1,000 early bird rebate.
Formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC), IUKL is a subsidiary of Protasco Berhad, a company which is listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. The university was upgraded to a fullfledged university in September 2012. With its new status, IUKL now offers its own Foundation, Diploma, Degree, Master’s and PhD programmes.
