Enjoy the best of both brands
THE history of Niro Granite began 35 years ago when Niro Ceramic Group’s first manufacturing plant was founded in Cresciano, Switzerland.
A variety of porcelain tiles were exported worldwide and rapid growth in the Asian markets eventually led to the successful establishment of Niro Ceramic Malaysia in 1988 and Niro Ceramic Indonesia in 1995.
In 2001, due to market demands and capacity constraints, Niro Ceramic China was established. Continuous investments and adaptations to meet customers’ needs resulted in Niro Ceramic Group’s expanding network and Niro Ceramic Vietnam was incorporated in 2010.
Niro Ceramic Group became a leading supplier backed with large stock to ensure prompt deliveries.
In 2010, Niro Ceramic Group started a distribution centre and showroom in Spain and last year, a prominent Spanish tile brand became part of Niro Ceramic Group.
The Zirconio brand and factory were acquired and Niro Ceramic Group now has Niro Granite and Zirconio production lines in Niro Ceramic España.
This is the first time a locally owned Asian tile manufacturer acquired a European tile company, making Niro Ceramic Group one of the few players in the industry globally to own manufacturing facilities in both Asia and Europe.
Zirconio was founded 50 years ago in Vila-real, Spain, and has been a pioneer in many aspects of the tile industry.
It was the first in the world to utilise digital decoration print technology. Zirconio also defied conventional advertising of using actors as a spokesperson and chose legendary singer Julio Iglesias as its ambassador.
Following the successful Malaysian launch of Zirconio – The Quintessential in January at Niro Ceramic Group’s flagship showroom in Shah Alam – the participation in ARCHIDEX ’14 is the next step in the promotion of Zirconio.
Niro Ceramic Group will be present with a 54sq m (581sq ft) booth with Zirconio’s range of products as well as Niro Granite’s latest collections.
The “urban lifestyle suite” concept exemplifies elegant and classic interior setting juxtaposed against the industrial structure of the booth.
Zirconio’s collection of ceramic and porce- lain tiles ranging from classic marble, stone and designs in gold to pastel colours, geometric patterns and lustre surfaces will be on display.
Popular collections are Brezo, Dolomite, Park, Pacific, Process and Sybaris, which illustrate the aptitude to fuse classic designs with today’s modern lifestyle. This ingenuity is an endowment from 50 years of legacy.
The emphasis on “Size Matters” showcases the 600mm X 1,200mm tiles from Niro Granite’s spring / summer collections of Elmina and Stockholm on top of the wellreceived Bloomsbury, Travertine and Wenge collections.
Lesser grouting lines give the illusion of a cleaner, larger space while proving to be a great accessory to counter tops.
Other new collections on display include Fossil Wood, which offers a chic alternative to classic wood designs in the size of 300mm x 1,200mm.
The Step series offers 20mm thickness in structured surface that is perfect for outdoor application as it comes with decorative and functional accessories to create a complete and unique environment.
In keeping with the promise of the union of Niro Granite and Zirconio, Niro Ceramic Group offers architects, interior designers and consumers a wide range of innovative and quality products.
The showcase of both Niro Granite and Zirconio products at ARCHIDEX ’14 will provide great inspirations and ideas to use both brands in any living or workspace.
