relevant skills in acquiring knowledge and research and applying them to design solutions for industry- related projects.
The course offers various subjects chosen to prepare students to face real- life work challenges.
These include visual communication, typography, communication skills, advertising design and interactive multimedia.
Those who complete the course will have the opportunity to become graphic designers in numerous commercial positions across both print and digital media.
Their work as professional designers may include or have links to areas such as advertising and promotion, art direction, branding, corporate identity, instructional design, packaging, signage and web design.
This two- and- a- half- year diploma programme requires a pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM/ SPMV) with three credits in any subject or a PTPL certificate in a relevant field with passes in all subjects.
With the diploma awarded by PTPL, students will gain credit transfer upon enrolling at the Management & Science University ( MSU) through the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering ( FISE). The credit transfer will ensure a place in second- year studies at MSU.
Other programmes offered by SISE at diploma and certificate levels include Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Information Technology and Computer Science.
