ABOUT 98% of this year’s graduating students from Kolej Yayasan UEM ( KYUEM), Malaysia’s premium A- Levels college, received conditional offers from some of the finest universities in the world.

Two hundred and forty- six students received their completion of studies certificates in the annual Awards Day graduation ceremony held on June 16, graced by the guest of honour, chairman of Axiata Datuk Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim.

They maintained the stardard of past graduates who obtained best results in the college’s history – with 88% of students obtaining A* to B grades at Cambridge A- Levels.

The results exceeded those of many top- quality UK colleges and confirmed KYUEM’s standing as an outstanding academic institution for students intending to study in prestigious universities overseas.

But KYUEM is not just an “examination factory”. The policy of student- centred, holistic education aims to produce well- rounded graduates who are able to compete academically, socially and culturally on the world’s stage.

Five unique students were presented with Special Awards. Scholar of the Year was awarded to Benjamin Lee Zhe Min; Academic Excellence Award ( Science) was awarded to Lim Yi Ying; Academic Excellence Award ( Arts) was awarded to Natalia Vera Aw, while Vicknesh Rajkumar and Fatihahtul Hanan Md Nor received Male and Female Sports and Co- Curricular Awards respectively.
